Italy Scholarships
There is a variety of reasons why students should consider studying in Italy. It offers best quality education with comparatively fewer tuition fees than other Western countries but scholarships are also available for deserving students. Step 1: Research and Find Desired Study Program
The first step to do is to research for a university and to decide what type of scholarships you qualify for and what scholarships are right for you. Step 2: Meet all Requirements
After choosing the university, you should research for specific requirements which Italian university asks for. Find out the list of countries supported by the Italian government. Research Proposal is essentially required for Italian scholarships. The main certificate required is English Proficiency Certificate or IELTS. Reference letters are also mandatory for the scholarship application. Transcript and degree certificates are also required for the application. The student must also submit a CV with the application form. All the admission requirements should be fulfilled at least 2 weeks before the application procedure is opened.
Step 3: Take Admission Tests
Most Italian universities will require you to take various admission tests such as IELTS or certificate of proficiency in Italian language, even if your program is in the English language, as English is not widely spoken outside the university. This test score plays an important role in determining whether you are accepted in Italian universities.
Step 4: Apply as soon as possible
After completing the requirements, essential documents and double checking the application. When it comes to applying for scholarships, timing is the key. Majority of the universities have limited seats, so it is good to apply as soon as possible. The earlier you apply, more chances will be there for your acceptance and you will get a scholarship. Step 5: Apply for Italian Students Visa
As soon as you receive the admission letter, contact the Italian embassy in your country and make a visa appointment. Schedule the interview at least four weeks before your arrival in Italy. Apply for the student visa at least three months before your arrival. The process of application generally takes 1 to 3 weeks.
Step 6: Find Accommodation
Living in Italy is not much expensive. Some university scholarships do not cover the accommodations, so it is better to start finding suitable accommodation for you.
